Oukahoushin is an interesting (but pretty mediocre) Japanese strategy game based off of the original Table-Talk RPG (Think RPG books with rules and the like) that was pretty popular during the late 90s and features original characters and a story based somewhat around the rules of the TRPG. This game is particularly oriental in feel and while Japanese, it embodies many Chinese and East Asian concepts and philosophies, from the distinctly decorated characters to the gameplay principals to even the name (The base of which is the rough equivalent of “The Hero of Central China”). The story is relatively straightforward and while it introduces a host of original characters, the theme of the game isn’t changed much so as not to deviate greatly from the source material. The story is also somewhat easier to understand if you know Hiragana and Katakana, as some of the Kanjis have Hira/Kata equivalents. We will tell you the general story. How To Save A Marriage In Therapy

There is an assumption that a third party will somehow be able to save a marriage by doing some of the work. So, how does this really work for them?
Many people go into the sessions expecting someone else to shoulder some of the work of getting the marriage back on the road of happiness. This is an unrealistic expectation as no one can do the actual work that leads to the restoration of a marriage besides the married people themselves.
Yet, counseling or therapy can really work if both of you go into it with the right mindset. The problem is that most go into it with the attitude that this third party will see that they are right and their spouse is wrong. They want validation, not objectivity.
You both have things that you do completely right and other things that you are screwing up. The job of a couples therapist is to help you sort out the real issues from the futile so that you can fix this mess you mutually created.
What a therapist does is get you to ultimately open up to one another so that the root issues standing in the way of happiness can be discovered. Believe it or not, the real issues are not who forgets to take out the trash or who forgot someone’s birthday.
If you don’t fix the deeper issues the marriage will only continue to unravel.
In order to get to the bigger problems you have to go into counseling without the idea that someone is right and the other wrong. You have to be willing to just listen to your spouse without assuming what their words mean for you personally.
Let’s consider an example. A man goes into a session and hears his wife saying how lonely she is. He feels this is an attack on him for not being home and he starts saying how he is the one always working and she just sits at home. She is now defensive as well. Yet, what would have happened if he just heard that she was lonely and did not make it about his work pattern? What if he just simply listened?
If you want to save a marriage through therapy sessions then you can’t automatically feel blamed by your spouse’s problems. It’s extremely difficult to hear that the other is lonely without blaming yourself, but that is what must be done to make this approach work.
